There has been lots of stuff happening to many our of friends lives and although we don't get much a chance to catch up with them all it is very exciting to hear about what is going on.
Congratulations to Jodi and Ryan Swanzye on the birth of their daughter Kendra. We can't wait to see pics and meet her. I can't believe Ryan is a dad - I still think of him as this little kid. Ok, I realize he isn't very little these days but still.
Also, congratulations to Sharon Gummer and Al on the birth of their son Memphis Gabriel Fox Palmer Gummer. That is one big name for a little guy! We can't wait to meet his as well.
Can't wait to hear the details and see the pics from Kim and Brad's wedding. Their getting married on March Break in Jamaica. We wish we were going but will wait anxiously for the many stories.
We saw Dan Lim on a tv show on CBC. The name of the show escapes me right now but Dan was awesome as usual. Sydney remembered being at his studio and pointed at him when he was on the screen.
I'm sure there's more stuff going on so just let us know.

My baby girl is 2
Where has the time gone? I can't believe that Sydney is 2 today. Of course, I'm sure I'll say that every year.
We gave her a Fisher Price garage which she seems to love. She also got some Crocs last month which she wore in Disney.
I made her a Lightening McQueen cake which she loved and had a great time destroying it after we took pictures. She loves the icing but not the cake and man has she had a lot of icing. I'm not sure why she won't eat the cake because she loves it before it's cooked.

Need sleep
Our little man still isn't sleeping through the night and obviously it makes everyone here very grumpy. He has started eating solid food and that may be helping him sleep a little better but he needs to sleep all night. Actually, I would be glad if he slept for 4 hours at a time right now.
Sydney is going to be 2 on Sunday. I can't believe (like everyone says) how quickly time flies. She can be such a sweet little girl and can also tear apart a house in minutes. Plus, she has quite the temper - thankfully it's shortlived.
She got out yesterday with John to shovel some snow with John. I've shown some pics above because to be honest I couldn't get them below this text.

We are back from vacation. We actually got back on Feb. 4th but it took until now to recover. Well, I think we are almost recovered.
The trip can be labeled as a great trip and a not so great trip. It started off with us having to go to the airport to pick up our plane tickets the day before we left because Air Canada put them in the mail. We only needed tickets because of Devin who didn't even have a seat - no explanation on why this was. Anyway I spent 3 hours in line to get them while John circled the airport. He finally had to park because Devin had to be fed. So, then we rushed home to finish packing and get to bed.
We rushed through the airport the next morning to find out that we had seats but not together. Fortunately, the stewardess got some people to move so we could sit together.
We finally got to Disney and things seemed to be better. We all laid down for a nap and Sydney ended up sleeping in the play pen that was for Devin. She seemed happy in it so Devin slept with us. We went out for dinner and Sydney didn't seem very hungry. I was a little worried because she hadn't eaten much all day but I thought maybe it was stress.
We got up the next morning and just took our time. We checked with the hotel to find out that we could stay there instead of moving to another hotel at the end of the week so it took awhile to get the changes arranged. We then headed to Downtown Disney for a couple of hours and then off to Fort Wilderness for the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. It was great but we had two very tired kids. Sydney ate a bit of food but not that much.
We went to bed as soon as we got back and set the alarm to get up for breakfast. The breakfast was at the Magic Kingdom with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. It was a buffet so I went and got some food for myself and Sydney. Sydney was looking a little tired but she started to eat. Then she started pointing to her stomach. I got up and started to reach for her as she proceeded to be sick. Fortunately, she was all cleaned up by the time the characters came to see her. She bounced back quickly and ate some fruit.
She was sick quite a bit for the rest of the trip and we weren't sure why until John was sick on the last day.
The good points of the trip was watching Sydney with the characters. She got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger and her favorites - Lightening McQueen and Mator. The crowds were small so the few rides we got on were great.
The weather was cool but obviously warmer than home. We had only one day of hot weather which caused a tornado to kill 20 people just north of us.
I will have to add more later but here are some fave pics.
Here are some of my favorite pics.
